CADILLAC announced a problem with the Escalade affecting a total of 35 vehicles.
A short circuit on the printed circuit board for the washer fluid heater may overheat the control-circuit ground wire. This may cause other electrical malfunctions, create an odour or cause smoke. In rare cases, it may cause a fire. Vehicles built from 1/1/2007 to 10/31/2008 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall all affected vehicles and install a wiring harness, which includes an in-line fuse.
If you think that your vehicle may be affected by this recall you should
find your nearest CADILLAC dealer
who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
