IVECO announced a problem with the NEW DAILY 2006 affecting a total of 2,179 vehicles.
The possibility exists that the steering input shaft may be incorrectly secured to the steering rack. This is a situation which if left un-rectified could lead to steering failure. Vehicles built from 8/4/2006 to 11/14/2006 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Subject vehicles will have the presence of the steering shaft retaining screw and green marker paint (indicating the correct tightening torque for the screw) checked. If the screw or paint mark are missing, the situation will be rectified to conform to specification.
If you think that your vehicle may be affected by this recall you should
find your nearest IVECO dealer
who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
