 KIA announced a problem with the RIO affecting a total of 18,011 vehicles.
The possibility exists that, the inlet nipple on the fuel distribution rail may crack. Should this occur, the potential exists for a fuel leak additionally, the risk of fire. Vehicles built from 05/04/2000 to 03/31/2004 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Likely to be affected vehicles will be recalled, at which time the distribution rail and the fuel supply pipe will be changed. |
