Second axle lower spring arm concern |
DAF announced a problem with the FTP85/95 affecting a total of 65 vehicles.
In some cases fitment of nylon thrust washers may allow excessive lateral movement of the second axle suspension lower spring arms. This could loosen the fixing bolts at the spring eye bracket and affect the steering control. Vehicles built from 11/01/2000 to 12/31/2001 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Fit an extra support bracket at the spring eye bracket and new thrust washers.
Vehicles with the following identification numbers are affected:
E534168 to E573119 to 0
