FIAT DUCATO Recall

Possibility of loss of brake fluids and extended pedal travel

FIAT DUCATO recall Oct 2004FIAT announced a problem with the DUCATO affecting a total of 4,322 vehicles.

The brake hoses may chafe on the wheel aches and, in extreme cases, cause a brake fluid leak. The driver will be informed of the defect by the illumination of a warning lamp on the dashboard. If ignored then this will result in longer than expected stopping distances. Vehicles built from 01/04/2004 to 03/12/2004 are at risk.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall the affected vehicles and visually inspect the front brake hoses, reinforcement and protection. The brake hoses, if worn, will be replaced.

Vehicles with the following identification numbers are affected:

ZFA24400007000001 to ZFA24400007358857
