THE front seat belt buckles may not latch securely
KIA announced a problem with the MENTOR/SHUMA/SPORTAGE affecting a total of 4,711 vehicles.
The front seat belt buckles may not latch correctly. This could result in a buckle separating in a collision. Vehicles built from 01/01/1995 to 12/31/1998 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Fit new front seat belts with improved buckles.

find your nearest KIA dealer
who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
