FIAT announced a problem with the ULYSSE affecting a total of 2,986 vehicles.
It has been identified that due to the inlet filter for the exhaust gas recirculating valve (EGR) being in an exposed position, there is a possibility of water entering the brake servo vacuum pipe. This can give rise to the possibility of ice forming within the pipe during periods of low ambient temperature, with the possibility of reduced brake servo assistance. Vehicles built from 8/1/2002 to 12/31/2004 are at risk.
Recalled vehicles will have the EGR valve solenoids checked for the presence of separate air filters. If this is not the case new solenoids with separate filters will be fitted.
If you think that your vehicle may be affected by this recall you should
find your nearest FIAT dealer
who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
