SAAB 900, 9.3 & 9.5 Recall

Towball came adrift from towbar

SAAB 900, 9.3 & 9.5 recall Jul 2002SAAB announced a problem with the 900, 9.3 & 9.5 affecting a total of 596 vehicles.

A combination of internal and external forces caused the towball to prematurely detach itself from the towball housing, resulting in separation of the trailer from the drawing unit.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. All towballs and housing will initially be modified and then replaced with calibrated units at a later date.

If you think that your vehicle may be affected by this recall you should find your nearest SAAB dealer who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
