MERCEDES BENZ Actros 930-934 & Axor 944,950.5 -954 Recall
Fire may occur
MERCEDES BENZ announced a problem with the Actros 930-934 & Axor 944,950.5 -954 affecting a total of 33 vehicles.
It has been established that due to insufficient crimping of the main battery cable lugs/terminals to the battery cable can cause a resistance between the cable and lug/terminal. This can result in, either failure of the electrical system, production of sparks or a short circuit, which could cause a vehicle fire.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall the affected vehicles for a check of the crimping. If found to be out of specification, re-crimp or solder the cable lug/terminal.
If you think that your vehicle may be affected by this recall you should
find your nearest MERCEDES BENZ dealer
who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
