FORD TRANSIT Recall

LPG fuel supply will not switch off

FORD TRANSIT recall Aug 2002FORD announced a problem with the TRANSIT affecting a total of 480 vehicles.

The liquid petroleum gas supply to the engine will not shut off if it stalls. Vehicles built from 11/01/2001 to 05/17/2002 are at risk.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Fit a new LPG fuel control module.

If you think that your vehicle may be affected by this recall you should find your nearest FORD dealer who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
