water ingress may cause anti lock brake control unit to malfunction
CITROEN announced a problem with the C3 (with ABS) affecting a total of 5,032 vehicles.
Water ingress to the ABS ECU connector may cause a malfunction of the anti lock braking system. In the worst case water contamination could cause a short circuit and fire in the ABS control unit. Vehicles built from 09/01/2002 to 11/30/2002 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Protect the ABS connector from water ingress. Replace the ABS ECU if found necessary.
