PEUGEOT 206 Recall

Possibility of erratic operation of the motorized throttle body

PEUGEOT 206 recall May 2004PEUGEOT announced a problem with the 206 affecting a total of 2,735 vehicles.

The software may cause erratic operation of the motorized throttle, which may result in breakage of the throttle stop. This can result in the engine reverting to limp home mode, with a possible reduction in braking assistance.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Subject vehicles will be recalled, and the condition eradicated by carrying out an ECU download.
