TOYOTA announced a problem with the Corolla and Corolla Verso affecting a total of 50 vehicles.
Transmission output shaft critical dimension may be shorter than the specification. In the worst case this could result in two gears being selected at the same time and cause the gearbox to lock up. Vehicles built from 08/03/2002 to 10/09/2002 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Check transmission serial number and replace any gearbox found to be within the affected range.
If you think that your vehicle may be affected by this recall you should
