NISSAN announced a problem with the Micra affecting a total of 4,771 vehicles.
The steering wheel retaining bolt may not have been tightened to the specified torque. If ignored, it can potentially lead to a loss of steering control. Vehicles built from 11/01/2002 to 03/31/2003 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Check the torque of the steering wheel retaining bolt and tighten where found necessary.
