VAUXHALL announced a problem with the MERIVA B, ASTRA J affecting a total of 1,403 vehicles.
The fixing bolts of the front passenger seat rails to seat frame may fail and leave the seat insecure. In the event of an accident this could lessen the effectiveness of the seat belt. Vehicles built from 1/9/2010 to 30/9/2010 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the front passenger seat rails to seat frame fixing bolts.
