AUDI announced a problem with the TT Coupe (with child seats) affecting a total of 286 vehicles.
In an accident where the rear seat belt tensioners are triggered, the side pillar trim could protrude into the passenger compartment and cause an increased risk of injury for both the front and rear passengers. Vehicles built from 1/5/2007 to 2/20/2007 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the front retaining clips on both side pillar trims.
If you think that your vehicle may be affected by this recall you should
find your nearest AUDI dealer
who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
