PEUGEOT announced a problem with the 407 affecting a total of 8,615 vehicles.
There is a possibility of untimely triggering of the starter motor which, if the vehicle has been left in gear, could result in the vehicle jerking forward when the starter motor engages.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall the likely to be affected vehicles and down load new software for the intelligent servo control unit.
