Possible damage and deflation of tyre due to road spring

MG MOTOR Rover 75 recall May 2004MG MOTOR announced a problem with the Rover 75 affecting a total of 33,523 vehicles.

There is a possibility that the if a front road spring failed at the lower end, it could contact and damage the tyre Vehicles built from 10/27/1999 to 02/20/2002 are at risk.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall affected vehicles and fit an additional lower road spring retention fixture which will protect the tyre in the event of a spring failure

Vehicles with the following identification numbers are affected:

RJ133300********* to RJ247257*********
