DAF LF45 and LF55 Recall

Seat belt inertia reel may not lock.

DAF announced a problem with the LF45 and LF55 affecting a total of 330 vehicles.

The lap belts fitted to the passenger seats may have incorrectly manufactured inertia reels. As a consequence a seat belt may not lock in a collision. Vehicles built from 09/01/2003 to 10/17/2003 are at risk.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Check the batch number of each seat belt and fit a quality assured replacement where necessary.

Vehicles with the following identification numbers are affected:

L250779 to L252075
L250779 to L252075

If you think that your vehicle may be affected by this recall you should find your nearest DAF dealer who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
