KIA announced a problem with the SORENTO - DIESEL affecting a total of 3,517 vehicles.
The alternator pulley may seize, resulting in the loss of the drive belt. This in turn can result in an increased physical effort requirement for both the steering and brake pedal Vehicles built from 11/06/2002 to 06/24/2004 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Affected vehicles will be recalled at which time the pulley will be replaced with a modified item.

who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
