JEEP AVENGER Recall

Front door latches could fail to operate

JEEP announced a problem with the AVENGER affecting a total of 392 vehicles.

It has been identified that, the front door latch cables may; during certain operating conditions, become detached from the interior release handle housing. This can result in the door latch sticking in the unlatched position, and the lock function to become inoperative. Vehicles built from 1/1/2007 to 26/10/2007 are at risk.

Recalled vehicles will have a latch cable retaining clip installed on the right and left front door interior release handle housings.
