FIAT announced a problem with the Doblo MPV & Van affecting a total of 559 vehicles.
There is a possibility that the weld on the steering shaft at the lower universal joint fitting maybe absent. If there is an absent of the weld at the joint, this may lead to a loss of steering. Vehicles built from 03/01/2006 to 04/30/2006 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall affected vehicles and inspect steering shaft to ensure weld is present, if not renew steering shaft.
