Fuel pump mounted pipe retaining tabs may fail

SAAB announced a problem with the 10/03/16 affecting a total of 7,124 vehicles.

The fuel pipe plastic retaining tabs mounted on the fuel pump may fail and possibly result in a fuel leak. Vehicles built from 02/01/2001 to 02/01/2002 are at risk.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and install a new securing bracket made of steel to hold the fuel pipes in place.

Vehicles with the following identification numbers are affected:

17000001 to 27018885
