MAN announced a problem with the X44 & X45 affecting a total of 28 vehicles.
The steering may fail, because some of the steering columns have not been fitted correctly to the steering box input shaft.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected, to check the steering column coupling fitment and, where necessary, fit a new steering column and fixings.

find your nearest MAN dealer
who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
