MG MOTOR announced a problem with the MG TF LE500 & 135 affecting a total of 275 vehicles.
Poor weld penetration between the front suspension shock absorber damper and the lower fixing eye may cause detach of fixing eye. In extreme circumstances, detachment may cause loss of directional control of the vehicle. Vehicles built from 10/13/2008 to 9/3/2009 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall the affected vehicles to have the defective units replaced with quality assured units.
