NISSAN announced a problem with the Cabstar "E" affecting a total of 1,524 vehicles.
The locating dowel on the parking brake assembly may become detached. In this case any impact on the lever may cause its unintended release. Vehicles built from 06/01/2000 to 06/30/2001 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall affected vehicles and fit a quality assured replacement parking brake assembly.
