MAZDA announced a problem with the B SERIES affecting a total of 62 vehicles.
The front steering knuckle may be cracked in the area where it connects to the front tie rod ball joint. In a "worst case" failure, directional control of the vehicle could be affected. Vehicles built from 05/08/2002 to 05/23/2002 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Examine potentially affected vehicles and fit new steering knuckles where found necessary.
