Short circuit may occur on the electrical door opening
MASERATI announced a problem with the QUATTROPORTE affecting a total of 115 vehicles.
Due to a possible manufacturing defect, there is a risk that the internal wiring harness of the door handle may short circuit and trigger the electrical door opening switch of the door. This may result in the door opening without intervention although onboard software of the central locking does not allow this situation to occur over 6mph. Vehicles built from 02/01/2004 to 02/01/2004 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and replace the outside door handles.
