HYUNDAI Terracan 4x4 Recall

Possibilty of poor braking performance

HYUNDAI Terracan 4x4 recall Aug 2006HYUNDAI announced a problem with the Terracan 4x4 affecting a total of 1,676 vehicles.

Some Terracan vehicles were produced with reduced metal thickness on the front brake discs between the disc surface and flange. Abnormal noise and poor braking performance may result. Vehicles built from 12/08/2003 to 01/27/2005 are at risk.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall affected vehicles and measure brake disc with specialst tool. If metal thickness is less than 4.5 mmm, replace disc

Vehicles with the following identification numbers are affected:

KMHNM81XR4U138118 to KMHNM81XR4U144386
