Injector pipes may fail resulting in the possibility of a vehicle fire |
IVECO BUS announced a problem with the EURORIDER 391.12.29 A_N AND 391.12.35 A-N affecting a total of 221 vehicles.
It has been identified that the possibility exists, that the currently fitted fuel injector pipes may fail which under certain circumstances, may result in a vehicle fire.
Recalled vehicles will have the injector pipes replaced with those of current the production, pending the development of a redesigned pipe. Until such time as theses become available, pipes will be changed on a six monthly or 100,000 km basis.During the initial stage of this recall, subject vehicles will be fitted with an engine bay fire extinguisher system.
