MERCEDES BENZ BUS announced a problem with the O405 affecting a total of 118 vehicles.
The possibility exists that stress failure of the steering idler arm may occur, which may result in defective steering control. Vehicles built from 01/01/1997 to 12/31/1998 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Affected vehicles will be recalled and fitted with a quality assured steering idler arm.
