ALFA ROMEO announced a problem with the 159 affecting a total of 81 vehicles.
It has been identified that certain after market roof cross rails (not supplied by Alfa Romeo) could set up resonance frequencies within the rail that could in time lead to breakage of the longitudinal roof rails. Vehicles built from 7/1/2005 to 8/31/2006 are at risk.
Recalled vehicles will be fitted with a new set of longitudinal roof rails.
If you think that your vehicle may be affected by this recall you should
find your nearest ALFA ROMEO dealer
who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
