AUDI announced a problem with the A6 affecting a total of 5,767 vehicles.
In the event of an accident in which deployment of the front airbags is required, it is possible that, the airbags can trigger too late. Vehicles built from 02/01/2004 to 03/31/2005 are at risk.
Recalled vehicles will have the airbag and ECU software updated.
Vehicles with the following identification numbers are affected:
