TOYOTA LS430 Recall

Engine may stall

TOYOTA LS430 recall Apr 2005TOYOTA announced a problem with the LS430 affecting a total of 319 vehicles.

The impeller of the fuel pump, sited in the fuel tank, may deform. This condition could increase the rotational resistance of the impeller and in the worse case, the fuel pump may lock which may in turn result in the engine stalling. Vehicles built from 07/29/2003 to 03/09/2004 are at risk.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and replace the fuel pump with a modified part.

Vehicles with the following identification numbers are affected:

JTHBN36F*00123382 to JTHBN36F*00155462
