MERCEDES BENZ announced a problem with the A-CLASS affecting a total of 16,202 vehicles.
It has been identified that during the manufacturing process a notch may have been formed on the wiper arm, which in extreme cases can cause the arm to fracture.
Recalled vehicles will have the wiper arm inspected, and replaced if found to be suffering from this defect.
