LAND ROVER announced a problem with the Freelander 2 affecting a total of 11,169 vehicles.
Failure of either the left or right side guide rail could cause the sun roof to become detached from its operating mechanism and bind. In certain circumstances the glass panel can become detached. Vehicles built from 11/1/2006 to 1/12/2008 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to install retention inserts to both sides of the glass panel guide rails.
If you think that your vehicle may be affected by this recall you should
find your nearest LAND ROVER dealer
who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
