FORD MAVERICK Recall

Seat belt may not latch

FORD MAVERICK recall Feb 2004FORD announced a problem with the MAVERICK affecting a total of 1,757 vehicles.

It is possible that the driver and/or front seat passenger seat belt buckle cannot be latched, or will not remain latched. Vehicles built from 06/01/2000 to 07/31/2001 are at risk.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Fit new seat belts where necessary.

If you think that your vehicle may be affected by this recall you should find your nearest FORD dealer who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
