Loss of directional control |
MERCEDES BENZ BUS announced a problem with the TOURINO affecting a total of 73 vehicles.
It has been identified that, the ball joint of the front axle upper transverse link may wear out. As the wear worsens, the link pin may become detached from the joint housing. If the link pin were to become detached, this would result in a safety critical condition, as reliable control of the affected front wheel could no longer be guaranteed.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall affected vehicles and replace ball joint on the end of the top transverse arm.
