CITROEN C6 Recall

Possibility of fuel leak

CITROEN C6 recall Dec 2006CITROEN announced a problem with the C6 affecting a total of 126 vehicles.

It has been identified that on certain vehicles, a fault may be present on the diesel fuel circuit return pipe ay the location of the pressure sensor. In the manufacture of the pipe an excess of material resulted in a reduction of the pipe's internal diameter therefore restricting the fuel flow, and a risk of a diesel leak from the fuel connector. Vehicles built from 05/23/2006 to 07/19/2006 are at risk.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Subject vehicles will have the diesel fuel delivery pressure in the injection pump checked. This will check the conformity of the pipe, which in the case of nonconformity will be replaced.

Vehicles with the following identification numbers are affected:

VF7******78004042 to VF7******78005645
