JAGUAR X TYPE Recall

Indicator "tell tale" may not show a fault when external indicators fail

JAGUAR X TYPE recall Mar 2003JAGUAR announced a problem with the X TYPE affecting a total of 30,183 vehicles.

When power is lost to the external indicators , the internal "tell tale" lamp continues to flash as if there was no fault, which is in contravention of the UK requirements. Vehicles built from 01/01/2001 to 10/31/2002 are at risk.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Replace the general electrical control module with one which has modified software.

Vehicles with the following identification numbers are affected:

SAJAD53L21WC00294 to SAJAH52S73YD17471
