OPTARE ALERO Recall |
AIR compressor mounting bracket may fracture. |
OPTARE announced a problem with the ALERO affecting a total of 75 vehicles.
The air compressor mounting bracket may fracture and cause the drive belt to break. This will ultimately result in a lack of air pressure to operate the braking and suspension systems. Vehicles built from 09/01/2001 to 07/31/2002 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Fit a strengthened air compressor support bracket. |
