BMW E46,E53,E60,E61,E65,SERIES3,5,7 AND X5 Recall |
THE bearings of the fuel injection pump may fail |
BMW announced a problem with the E46,E53,E60,E61,E65,SERIES3,5,7 AND X5 affecting a total of 697 vehicles.
The bearings of the high pressure fuel injector pump may fail after a short travelled distance (approximately 3000 to 6000 miles) This leads to a total failure of the engine's fuel supply, which results in the engine stalling. Vehicles built from 11/30/2004 to 01/31/2005 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall likely to be affected vehicles and replace the fuel injector pump. |
