CITROEN announced a problem with the C4 Picasso affecting a total of 9,398 vehicles.
It has been identified that due to a production non conformity in one of the electric parking brake cables, the brake may not hold the vehicle securely on a steep gradient when the parking brake is applied. This will be accompanied by the illumination of the warning lamp and a message saying "parking brake faulty" on the multifunction screen. Vehicles built from 7/6/2006 to 5/11/2007 are at risk.
Recalled vehicle swill have the conformity of the cables checked, and replaced as necessary.
If you think that your vehicle may be affected by this recall you should
find your nearest CITROEN dealer
who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
