MITSUBISHI announced a problem with the Outlander GS45X affecting a total of 4,307 vehicles.
It has been identified that as the result of the manufacturing process, silicon grease may have contaminated the stop lamp switch contacts. This can result in oxidation of the contacts and prevent the stop lamps operating when the footbrake is applied. Vehicles built from 1/1/2007 to 12/31/2008 are at risk.
Recalled vehicles will have the stop lamp switch replaced.
If you think that your vehicle may be affected by this recall you should
