RENAULT announced a problem with the MASTER affecting a total of 1,318 vehicles.
The spare wheel carrier winch system may allow the spare wheel to be loosely installed after the customer has used the winch. In this condition the spare wheel might move during driving, which may damage and eventually break the cable and guiding pin of the winch system. In this worst case the spare wheel would become detached from the vehicle. Vehicles built from 1/4/2010 to 29/8/2010 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the complete spare wheel winch system.
