CITROEN announced a problem with the C3 affecting a total of 2,828 vehicles.
The front suspension lower ball joint pinch bolts may not have been fully tightened. In the worst case, separation of the ball joint from the suspension arm would affect directional control of the vehicle. Vehicles built from 01/01/2002 to 08/31/2002 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Check the ball joint pinch bolts for correct torque and tighten where necessary.
