TOYOTA LS 460 / LS 600h Recall

Steering control ecu

TOYOTA announced a problem with the LS 460 / LS 600h affecting a total of 48 vehicles.

The steering control ECU programming for the Variable Gear Ratio Steering system can cause the steering wheel to become off-centred by a maximum of up to 90 degrees, under certain limited circumstances. If the driver has fully turned the steering wheel and then very quickly attempts to turn it back to the centre position, the steering wheel may temporarily become off-centred.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the steering control ECU.

How to check your car's VIN number - vehicle identification number

If you think that your vehicle may be affected by this recall you should find your nearest TOYOTA dealer who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
