FIAT announced a problem with the Idea affecting a total of 1,690 vehicles.
The rear seat belt anchorage points do not conform to specification, which could, in the event of a collision result in the insecurity of the seat belt. Vehicles built from 03/11/2004 to 04/04/2004 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall likely to be affected vehicles and upgrade the seat belt anchorage to the correct specification, by the fitment of an additional bracket.
