OIL may leak from drive axle

CADILLAC CTS,CTS-V, SRX, STS, STS-V recall Jun 2008CADILLAC announced a problem with the CTS,CTS-V, SRX, STS, STS-V affecting a total of 426 vehicles.

The drive axle/s pinion seal may leak. This will initially lead to oil leaking onto the road, noise and transmission drag which if not attended to will damage final drive components and in the worst case the drive axle/s could lock up and control of the vehicle could be lost. Vehicles built from 1/1/2005 to 12/31/2006 are at risk.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the pinion seal/s
