SUZUKI announced a problem with the Swift affecting a total of 31,872 vehicles.
It has been identified that, due to a build up of corrosion on the boot light terminals, a short circuit may possibly occur. This can result in melting of the terminals, which may result in a fire.
Recalled vehicles will have the boot light and side quarter trims replaced. Additionally, the wiring harness to the boot light will be repaired as necessary.
